Perth hits rental crisis as vacancy rate plummets below 1%
Perth’s residential vacancy rate continues to rapidly decline, falling to 0.96 per cent which is the lowest it has been in 13 years, and only the third time in 40 years it has dropped below one per cent.

Perth’s leasing activity up 46 percent in January
There were 5,197 rental properties leased in Perth during January, an increase of 46 per cent compared to December.

Rental market buoyed by rising employment opportunities
Perth’s rental market is leading the way in the local property market recovery, buoyed by rising employment opportunities, most notably in the resources, mining and energy sector. Historically, a rise in job vacancies in skilled roles results in an influx of workers interstate and overseas, increasing the demand for rental accommodation.

Pure Leasing’s year
As another financial year has drawn to a close, we reflect on our achievements throughout 2017/18. It’s certainly been a huge year, in a challenging market, but one during which we have continued to grow and change. We’re proud to have been recognised as leaders in our field, and also to have been able to give back to our local community.

Rental market leads recovery
With steady rents, declining listings, improved leasing figures and faster leasing times, data for the first quarter of 2018 reveals that Perth’s rental market is leading the charge in our property market recovery. With sales market growth historically following the rental market during a recovery, there’s plenty to smile about as we look to the second half of 2018.

Farewell and Good Luck Nicola – and Welcome Bridget!
As many of you know, one of our long-standing property managers, Nicola Oliver, sadly and suddenly lost her husband Bills in early 2017. Over the past year, Nicola has been reassessing her life and priorities, and will be leaving Pure Leasing – for now! - on Friday 13 April.

Helping fund play-and-learn equipment for children with disabilities
Pure Leasing’s financial support of Australia’s oldest open water swim, the 2017 Swim Thru Perth, has helped lead to a donation of $6,900 to the WA Disabled Sports Association, the Swim Thru Perth’s nominated charity. Funds will be used for the provision of modified play and learn equipment for children with disabilities.
