BACK IN THE SWIM… AND RUN

The Swim Thru Perth is Australia’s oldest open water swim, having first been held in 1912. Although there have been many changes to the race course and distance over the years, the race has always been held in January in the Swan River.

Throughout its 105-year history, the race has only been interrupted by the two World Wars and a polio epidemic. The 2018 swim will be the 99th running of the event.

The Swim Thru Perth raises significant funds for the WA Disabled Sports Association (WADSA), and Pure Leasing’s sponsorship is instrumental in maximising this donation.

Rottnest SwimRun – Saturday 10 March 2018
EVENT PARTNER

Rottnest SwimRun is the premiere SwimRun race in WA.

The event involves teams of two circumnavigating the island, covering a total distance of 32.7 kilometres, and consisting of 10 swim legs totalling 4.4 kilometres, and 10 run legs totalling 28.3 kilometres.  The run legs are a mix of beach running, trail running and road running.

It’s a serious endurance challenge – just ask our Principal Cam Ewers, who competed in the 2017 event and will be fronting up to the start line again in 2018.

Entries for the 2018 have sold out.
